Seeing, Hearing, Doing Quiz
This Quiz is designed to help you find out if you have a:
- Visual learning style : You need to see information in a visual format and learn best from written information, diagrams, and pictures.
- Hearing learning style : You need to hear information and learn best from lectures and conversations.
- Doing learning style : You need to receive information through touch and feel and learn best from hands-on work and movement.
You may find that you predominantly have one of these learning styles or a mix of two.
Knowing your learning style—an example.
- Dawn Smith dropped out of high school in Grade 10. Now, at age 22, she's gone back to school and discovered she's a tactile learner.
I have to write everything down,
she says,in order to remember and understand the material. Sometimes I make drawings to help myself.
- Dawn also has some preference for auditory learning. “I have to read material out loud to myself. That way I hear it better.”
- Dawn's understanding of her personal mix of learning styles is helping her gain knowledge and has given her more confidence in the classroom.
