Felder's Index of Learning Styles Quiz is designed to help you see yourself as leaning one way or another towards different learning preferences. These preferences depend on your topic and/or learning situation
Everyone is active sometimes and reflective at other times. When you are active, you want to learn by doing something, trying it out and working with a group. When you are reflective, you want to think about things first and prefer to work alone.
Everyone is a sensor sometimes and intuitive at other times. When you are a sensor, you want facts and rules and are good at memorizing. When you are being intuitive, you want to think about possibilities, be innovative and ponder concepts.
Everyone learns when information is presented both visually and in words. When you prefer visual learning, you like information presented in pictures, diagrams, demonstrations and so on. When you prefer verbal learning, you like to get your information from words, either presented in text or aloud.
Everyone is both a sequential and global learner, but each individual tends to be stronger in one. If you tend toward learning sequentially, you get information in a step-by-step process. If you tend toward learning globally, you tend to suddenly "get it" in one large leap.
